Monday-ish ramble

Ho hum. Another day, another blog post.

It was just a catch up day here, which is one of my favourites. I like to putter about putting away weekend clutter and remembering good times with friends and family. There was laundry to do and plants to water and a few beans to pick.

Nothing particularly momentous happened today and I didn’t take pictures until this evening when a few of us went to Alex and Victoria’s to watch them open some presents from last night.

This might be my favourite spot in their little trailer.

Alex plugged in the hand mixer and turned it on and sniffed deeply. “Mmm…nothing like the smell of a new motor,” he said. “If you get a new drill or something, you gotta plug it in and smell it.”

I was very moved by this this post from my friend Dorcas. Her husband is a nurse and she has such good insight into what we should be feeding in our online and in-person discussions about today’s issues. Go read it. If you don’t have time or don’t believe the nurse/Covid parts of the post, take time to read the last paragraphs.

  1. Hi Luci! I just want to thank you for your daily posts. I read every one and love them! Do you have a cousin Arie? She’s the sweetest lady and I think you are alot like her.😊

    1. Thank you for the kind words. ❤️Yes, Arie is my cousin. She emails me sometimes. I don’t know her well at all, as she is a little older than me and hung out more with my sisters when we’d visit PA. But I’ve learned to know her a bit more through writing. So that’s a compliment. 😊
